Olivia Munn: Hi, I'm Olivia Munn. I'm an actress, a mom, and an Anne Klein ambassador. And this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I want to share something that's incredibly personal to me.
My own breast cancer journey taught me just how important it is to understand your individual risk and advocate for your health. In my case, my doctor calculated my breast cancer lifetime risk assessment, which showed that I had an elevated risk. That information led to additional screening, which ultimately detected my cancer. That risk assessment test helped save my life.
It's why I want to encourage women to talk to their doctors about their own breast cancer risk. Understanding your personal and family history, knowing your risk, and staying on top of the screenings recommended for you can be incredibly important. And we can do more than advocate for ourselves. We can advocate for each other.
Talk to your mom, your sister, your daughter, your friends. Remind each other to make these appointments, ask questions, and prioritize your health. Share what you know, because you never know when a conversation could make a life-changing difference for someone you love. I truly believe that women change women's lives.
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I hope you'll take the time to learn about your own risk and encourage the women around you to do the same. You can visit anneklein.com/breast cancer awareness month for more information and resources. Take care of yourself, take care of each other, and never be afraid to advocate for yourself.

Women in the U.S. will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. With research, we can make one in eight, none in eight.
