Ahead of National Mammography Day, Anne Klein is proud to continue its commitment to supporting women’s health through its ongoing Cause & Community series. On October 17th, 2024, Anne Klein will host Rise & Shine with Sara Sampaio at Herald Square Plaza in New York City, offering access to education and resources. This empowering event is in collaboration with the Northwell Health Cancer Institute and aims to raise awareness of breast cancer while providing critical resources to the community.
Why This Event Matters
Breast cancer remains a pressing health issue, and early detection through mammography can save lives. With the support of the Northwell Health Cancer Institute and the Katz Institute for Women's Health, attendees will have access to screenings and consultations. The event also serves to honor the memory of Anne Klein, the brand’s founder, who lost her battle to breast cancer in 1973.

Supermodel, actress, and entrepreneur Sara Sampaio, Anne Klein’s newest Ambassador, will be leading the charge at this special event. Known for her strong advocacy, Sara will use her platform to encourage women to prioritize their health and seek regular screenings. She’ll be joined by healthcare professionals from Northwell Health Cancer Institute, nurse practitioners from Lenox Hill Hospital and the genetic counseling team from Katz Institute for Women’s Health - all dedicated to providing education and support on breast health.
